A man just came to the door--he works at the Ministry, and he was originally from the village. He's badly injured--I have to go help him--but he says that Death Eaters have taken over the Ministry and are looking for Harry Potter. I know that nobody's probably going to receive this in time, but oh, please be safe!

Alison, Leah, Lysienne,

I hope all of you are all right. I also hope nobody suffered any bad injuries at the Burrow, I didn't get to see if Fred and George or Bill and Fleur were all right before I left, but I hope everyone is all right, and if there's anything I can do on my end, please let me know.

I have no idea what's going on right now, other than the Death Eaters have probably murdered the Minister, and probably were at the wedding looking for Harry Potter. Does this mean we've lost the war, or does this mean it's just beginning?

Either way, I'm confined to the house now. Mum and Dad have spent all night strengthening the protections around here, and I'm not supposed to leave the house without one of them with me, even during the daytime in Muggle London! Looks like the rest of the summer is going to be me in the basement, being trained more by Mum, at least until school starts again. If school starts again. If Mum and Dad even let me go.

Leah, I hope you made it home safely, and I hope you're all right. Those were some close calls for all three of us!

Alison, you're okay right? I hope everyone else at the Burrow is too. Please apologize to Mr. Weasley on my behalf, I'm sorry about Dad... He can come across as a little bit harsh sometimes, I'm sure he meant Mr. Weasley no ill will. He was just worried about me; he's very protective when it comes to me and Mum. Also, give Bill and Fleur my best wishes. It's just terrible that their happy day was ruined. Lastly, does anyone know where Potter and his friends went? They must have Apparated away as soon as the Death Eaters came in. Have they come back?

Lysienne, you are so fortunate that Syrien came home early and you couldn't come. It was terrible, like when the Death Eaters came to Hogwarts, only worse. I hope that man your village is all right, did he tell you what happened?

Holy shit.

I don't know how many there were - there must've been ten or fifteen of them, but we managed to hold off the Death Eaters long enough for them to realize Potter wasn't here anymore and Disapparate. But shit, they sure left one hell of a mess behind. What a day for the Ministry to fall. At least no one was hurt too badly.

I think we're being watched. I mean, I guess that would make sense - they knew Potter was here, and they know that Ron's gone with him. Hermione too - I think I heard her say she'd gotten her parents to safety, so I guess I can only hope she was right. Mr. and Mrs. Weasley are on-edge, and Mrs. Weasley absolutely won't let Fred and George and me return to the store. The twins are pretty unhappy about that, but they aren't making a big deal about it because there's enough going on to be unhappy about without that added in. At least Bill and Fleur really... took it pretty well. I mean, not that I know what it's like to get married, but if Death Eaters crashed my wedding reception... well. That really sucks royally for them. At least the wedding went well enough - it really was a nice ceremony, until they showed up.

I wrote my dad, at least - I told him what happened, and that I'd be okay here. I mean, how else is he going to know about what happened? I don't think it was exactly on the news - well, I hope not. Or at least if it was, it definitely wouldn't have been the whole story. Sometimes I wonder if maybe he isn't safer that way - I mean, not knowing what's going on. Mr. Weasley said they'll send someone to put protective charms over our house, just in case. That makes me feel better - I mean, I'd do it myself, but... well. Seeing as I can't leave.

There are a lot of people here, and a lot going on. Maybe it's actually not so bad - if I find out anything about the state of things, I'll let you guys know. Ora, don't worry about leaving like that - I guess I can't really blame your dad, and I don't think Mr. Weasley was overly offended. Leah, I hope you got home safe and everything. And I guess maybe Syrien was right, Lysienne. It makes me wonder if... if maybe I can't try to help out somehow. I mean, Professor Trelawney's always going on about how I have such a good Inner Eye - I thought it was a load of bull, but maybe she's right? My hunches are usually right. I wonder if I shouldn't start looking through my old Divination books. At least it'll give me something to do for a while.
