[Two] At the Burrow
Aug. 9th, 2007 02:34 amWe're finally at the Burrow! The twins and I arrived earlier this evening after we closed the shop for the next few days, and Ora came not too much later than that, just in time for dinner (which was good - seriously, Mrs. Weasley is the best cook I've ever known, I don't know how she does it). It looks like Ora and I will be sleeping in the living room for now, since Hermione's sharing a room with Ginny and it's already cramped enough in there. I've slept on the floor here before once or twice, though, and it's not bad at all. And there's still plenty of floorspace, if any of you end up being able to make it.
This place is seriously heaped over with more security charms than I've ever seen anywhere else. You can't apparate at the gate anymore - you have to appear a ways away, up the hill, and then walk the rest of the way. But I guess that's what happens when you're housing the famous Harry Potter. I can't say they make me feel a whole lot better, but they do help a bit. I mean, I'm not one to be paranoid, but I guess it's nice to know there's a little something extra between you and the outside world, especially with the way things are these days. Then again, I wonder how much the Death Eaters know - this is the first place they'll come looking if they decide to go after Potter, isn't it?
Speaking of Potter, I swear you'd think he and Ginny weren't... well, exes. They don't talk to each other much, but they do keep giving each other glances when they think no one's looking. Who are they trying to fool? Fred and George say Ginny isn't happy with the way Harry dumped her at the end of the school year, and I guess I can't say I blame her. She knew what she was getting herself into, if anyone ever did.
I guess I should get going - I'm sure Mrs. Weasley's going to put us to work first thing in the morning, since the wedding is only two days away now. It was pretty hectic here tonight, and I didn't even have to do that much! Hopefully Ora and I will be able to sneak in and get a look at the titles of the books Granger's got with her, though. There must be some clue as to what they're up to, if we can only find it.
