[Eight] Errands

The strangest thing happened after Potions class today. Professor Slughorn called Ora and me up to his desk at the end of class, just as everyone was filing out. He told us he had a shipment of potions ingredients coming in, but because of all the restrictions with the school and the security measures it had to be picked up at the post office in Hogsmeade. He said he didn't have the time to do it himself, but that Ora and I were good students and would we mind running down to town on Friday and picking the ingredients up for him. He said we'd be given special permission from him and that it wouldn't be a problem at all, and that he'd inform Filch not to give us any trouble.

Well, of course we agreed! I can't believe our luck - I'm going to owl the twins right away and see if they can meet us there - it's not as though there'll be a time limit, and I'm sure we can stay in town for a bit and talk, though we shouldn't stay too long or Filch might get suspicious. Maybe we can meet at the Hog's Head - I hear that's the place to go if you don't want to be noticed or overheard. Then if there's anything they need to know from Malfoy, we'll be able to pass that information along without fear of the post being intercepted.

I suppose another 'love letter' is in order, then. Off to find my red ink.
